Hollywood Divers in Los Angeles teaches both Naui and PADI Scuba, Snorkeling and Skin Diver Courses.

We feature Private and Semi - Private Classes in which you can have up to 4 Friends.

The starting price for the instructor per day is $350 for ONE on ONE Water Training and increases slightly per person Per Day.

For example: 2 people total instructor fee is $450 Per day, 3 people total instructor fee is $550 Per day, 4 Students total instructor fee is $650 Per day.   

Having 4 in your class is less expensive $165.00 Each Per Day.  650/4 = 165.00 each 162.50 to be exact

We Think One on One Instruction or One on Two is Best for Learning the Most and Getting the most for your time spent Training and Safety. 

Beginners Who want Full Autonomous Certification, Generally Need a Minimum 3 days of Water Training to be Certified as a PADI or NAUI Open Water SCUBA DIVER  This rating allows you and a Buddy to Go diving Autonimously within the SCOPE of Your training and comfort level. 3 Days is the minimum, sometimes folks who need more work would need 4 Days of training.

If You are Going to Dive Only on Vacation with a guide and want less of a training commitment Read on. This Course has Limitations after you finish.

If you want to be Certified Dive With a Guide only. You may take the Beginner SCUBA DIVER Course. This Will be Only Two Days of Water Training. A pool Session lasting up to 5.5 Hours and One Day of Ocean Diving. This Certification has an Expiration date. You Must Dive Again within 6 Months to keep it Current.

Why are we doing only private classes?  Why Don't we do the Big Groups like Others May Advertise ?    Safety and Quality of Retention.

• You spend less time waiting around underwater for the big group to finish each underwater skill, conserving body heat. 

• You get more 1-on-1 time with your instructor and you learn more! 
• You learn at your own pace! Need Practice on One skill that is giving you trouble ? You will be able to Practice it as much as needed.
• You will actually learn how to dive, instead of sitting at the bottom just doing skills! 

What are the steps to be certified for scuba diving? 

1. Purchase E-learning code from Hollywood Divers website under "LEARN TO DIVE"
2. When almost done with E-Learning (80%), send us an email with dates you are available so we can book an Instructor for your pool day. YOU MUST COMPLETE ALL THE ONLINE HOMEWORK BEFORE DOING THE IN STORE, IN PERSON EXAM and GEAR ASSEMBLY REVIEW and POOL SESSION. 
3. Preferably, 24 to 48 Hours Before the pool session you Must come into our dive shop to do a Gear review/paperwork. There is NO FEE for the Review exam if you do your online learing affiliated with Hollywood Divers.
4.  We do not have a pool at our shop. Please Schedule your classroom - in store training at a time to have ample time to make it to your pool session.
5. During the gear review / paperwork, you will purchase any gear that you want to buy or Rent gear packages for your pool day and your ocean days. 
6. Complete pool day, once you pass all pool skills, you'll get set up for your ocean dives.
7. Complete the two ocean days if You would like FULL OPEN WATER SCUBA DIVER Certification (most likely at Catalina) or on your vacation, pass ocean skills. 
8.  Bring rental gear back to shop and tell us how your dives went!!
9. We issue you your digital certification in the shop!
