The BA-AD is a angled ball adapter and was designed to fit into our BA-DB universal dovetail plate. Once in place it is secured by a thumb screw and 1/4"-20 x 1" bolt. The ball adapter is made out of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with Type III anodizing, the bolt is 316 stainless steel and the thumb screw is plastic.
