We First want to thank our Longtime Partner in Diving, The Spectre Dive Boat. I have Known Captain Ted and Captain Nate Since the 90's When I first Began Diving on the Spectre and I can't say enough good things about these folks. Nate has Taken the Captain's role and Continued to Provide Excellent Service in a very competitive and heavily scrutinized industry. Owning and Captaining a Dive Boat at the Level of Comfort and Reliability all these years is Not an Easy Task. Many Dive Boats have Come and Gone and We are Happy to see the Spectre Still Going Strong. The Last Few Years Have been a struggle for Independent - Family Dive Tour Operators and We Hope That You will Continue to Support Them.

The Spectre Offered Hollywood Divers a Special Deal in Honor of Bill Strongs End of Life Celebration / Fundraiser. We and Some of our Long Time Customers and Friends Raised $3500.00 in Bills Honor. His Guidance for us, on how to Navigate a Serious Terminal Illness was done with an Open Mind and Made us Realize How Empowering an End of Life Choice can be when Battling Cancer or other Terminal Maladies. He Utilized the California Legal, Medically Assisted End of Life Choice and without any Trepidation or Lack of Dignity. He Stayed with as Long as He thought was appropriate and on the Day he Left us, he Took his Medicine with Bravery and Drifted off at Home Surrounded by a few Close friends and Relatives. Happy Thanksgiving to All of You - We are Planning an Early Morning Thanksgiving Day Veterans Park - Redondo Beach Dive- However there May be a substantial Rain Coming to Socal Just Before Turkey Day. This May Cause us to Cancel for Bacterial Runoff. . Recommendations are for 48 Hours, No Beach Diving after a Major Rain in LA. We will Make the Call on Weds the day Before Thanksgiving.

EXOTIC DESTINATIONS - DIVE TRIP REPORT - Ono Island - Oneta Resort Fiji

Fiji October 2024 - Oneta Resort . This Resort Requires A Flight From Nadi to Kadavu then a Boat Ride to Ono Island. A secluded and beautifully run resort that offers Amazing Coral Wall Dives and Manta Cleaning Stations mere Minutes from the resort. Everyday We Saw Mantas. The Cleaning Station Averages 25 to 30 feet deep and only Snorkeling is allowed. More than likely the Mantas Would Not Like a Giant Bubble Curtain from Scuba groups. Snorkelers who ( Stay Horizontal ) as much as possible and breathe through your snorkel so the mantas aren't impeded will be treated to a amazing Dance of the Mantas. See Oneta Dive Fiji

The Food at Oneta Resort Was Delicious and the Staff were So Pleasant and Entertaining. Each Island I have Visited around Fiji has the Nicest People Anywhere. Oneta was also cut of this fine Cloth. The Smiles, the Singing and Music not Created by Electronic Devices but by Wood, Hands, Voices and Acoustic Strings. I like these methods of tranquil Island Behavior. I did not care to hear an amp plugged in, or a DJ spinning but everyday the Humming, Singing and Guitar Made me Feel so Damn Comfortable.
