ROATAN SCUBA TRIP REPORT 3-15 TO 3-22
This year we had a total of 23 Attending out of 24 Passengers. The Folks Who Came with us in 2024 and in 2025 were happy and satisfied with the continued great service that we received from our Divemasters and Boat Captains from Coco View.
The Food was also Delicious and Plentiful. March is a Nice Time of Year in Roatan TO VISIT Coco View Resort, as it isn't the Buggiest time of year. Light Trade winds Prevail.

Water Temp was 80 to 82, Air Temp 75 to 84 and Underwater Visibility Averaged 60 feet. Our dive Group engaged in Shark Diving, Day and Night Boat Diving and Shore Diving.
We had a couple of Non Divers with us and They also enjoyed great Visibility and Calm Snorkeling conditions. We only had high winds on one day and the conditions weren't ever too rough to dive.
Thanks to Our Dive Boats - The Blue Boat, and The Yellow Boat. Reuben, Marcos and Davison Thank You So very Much for Showing us all the Underwater Sights.
Upon Arriving, Coco View has a Safety briefing Meeting and Warm up dive for those who haven't been there before. This is required to Spell out the Rules of the Resort and keep everyone on the same page to maximize number of dives and show us all the Amenities of the resort.

One of my personal favorite features of Coco View resort is the camera Room. This Air conditioned Room that has outlets for Charging all 110 Volt Devices - American Style Sockets. No Adapters are Required. Bring a Small Power Strip if you really want to be an Efficient and Prepared Underwater Photographer.
Again, it Seems the Favorite Dive Site Overall was Mary's Crack. We Saw Spotted Eagle Rays, Bearded toadfish, Lobster, Slipper Lobster, Seahorses, Moray Eels, Squid, Octopus, Barracuda, Schools of Jacks, Spadefish and many others. a Few folks were even treated to Juvenile Drumfish.

The Resort has a Full Service Dive Shop on the Dive Dock just steps away from the dive boats. They have Rental Gear and all the Goodies that you really need - Computer Batteries - Fin Straps - Rash Guards - Flip Flops and they Can Guide Discover Diving Experiences for those who need to give SCUBA a try in the shallows.

Here is a Dive Scenario that you may have experienced and for some it may have even ruined your expensive dive vacation in the Past.
I arrived at Coco View with a Really Painful Los Angeles "ICK" Head Cold. We all know that you must not dive with congestion or a head cold. I was medicating with Mucinex and Hot Tea and I wasn't expecting much relief. However, one of the smarter Passengers on the Trip told me to Go Visit The Resort Diving Nurse. And Boy am I Glad I went.
Nurse Andrea works there and she really knows her stuff. Her Office is by the Canal across from the bike rack.

Nurse Andrea Gave me lots of advice and by day 3 of the trip I was able to dive and salvage my trip.
One of the Best Treatments she advised was this small and specially designed Ear Vibrator - You Heard ?

EAR Vibrator - the Ear doc. It Makes the ear and irritated jaw area relax and allows the eustachian tube to begin to open and drain. You must try it. I believe that it really helped me.
Nurse Andrea Takes Donations and Will Have you Check in with her for most any ailment you may have. Tell her I sent ya. She is very knowledgable for the needs of Divers. She also Has the Sweetest Dog for Therapeutic Petting.

This Video only Shows a fraction of the Fun We Had in Honduras

After over 38 years traveling to Coco View, it warms my heart to know they continue to offer great personal service. We were there again last year and have already booked next year’s trip. Thanks for the report and the pix, Hal. Here’s a photo from Tutu Tuesday…./Users/ralphbuck/Documents/Photos/Roatan 2024 Vids & Pics/Group Shots/Tutu Tuesday.JPG
