Five beginner-friendly dive computers that provide enhanced diver safety in stylish designs.

Dive computers have become an essential part of any diver’s kit because they provide critical decompression information for enhanced diver safety. While that may be their most important function, it’s only the tip of the iceberg: Dive displays provide a command center for mission critical data, often including direction and remaining gas supply, while other modern additions include GPS coordinates and wireless dive downloads that make it easier than ever to log dives. Compact sizes, color displays and vibrating feedback have only added more convenience and usability. The recommendations below provide user-friendly operations and all the essential dive functionality, with a mix of features suited to meet the needs of your customers.

1 CRESSI RAFFAELLO

WHAT YOU GET: The Raffaello’s ultra-low-profile design reduces drag and bulk for lightweight comfort without sacrificing readability. The large backlit screen makes the most of its available real estate with large characters and by clearing segmenting and labeling data. Nitrox-compatible with three-tank switching and a dedicated freediving mode, this computer is well equipped for the average recreational diver. It includes audible alarms and a rudimentary digital compass, and the long-lasting, user-replaceable battery powers the computer for up to four years. Optional Bluetooth attachment allows users to download dive logs to Mac, PC and smart devices via the Cressi app.
